Artist's Comments

Tried to get an image that was more sensual rather than sexual. A pose that implied someone in the middle of dressing/undressing rather than posing for the viewer. Arcylic paint and pencil on heavy MDF board

Thanks everyone. I always thought the idea of using mixed media was cheating, but have since come to terms with the fact that this is actually the way I prefer to work. I also like the thin line and the pencil added to the acrylic paint. Cheers!

GORGEOUS! she's so three-dimensional and real-looking, and yet at the same time your work is so stylish. i love the harsh lines of the white pencil and the background is perfect, intriguing but not distracting, the colors of the background are a beautiful complement to her skin tone. her hair is super too, very hair-y looking, not to mention her pose is very nice as well. overall, beautiful work!

Profound thanks. Great to get good comment on the technique. I like high contrast so tend to push it a bit. Neutral backgrounds help throw the subject forward. best wishes
