There are few crimes worse than those committed against children. Pedophiles, Dictators, Warlords and Gangsters feel that they have the right to destroy innocence..
The first time I saw those irreparably damaged was when I went around some ruined huts and came unawares upon six boys (between 8 and 12) standing in the dusty street - their weapons lowered. Their youthful faces masked their broken souls but I knew they were capable of indescribable acts of savagery and brutality. Surely it was Divine intervention that stayed my finger on the trigger and the boy soldiers scattered off in six different directions but not before I saw in their dull, lifeless eyes, mild surprise at my sudden arrival.. ..not fear. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
